American Football

The game is treated as a study of impact, rhythm and control across this self initiated series. The illustrations isolate charged moments within American football. The grip before release, the turn of a helmet, the reach for a catch, the shift of weight before contact. Graphite drawing is combined with restrained fields of color to reduce each play to force, motion and physical detail.
