Estranged
An illustration series developed from studies of knitting threads, geometric structure and early 3D game forms. The project uses thread behavior as a visual system, with lines bending, tightening and wrapping around altered figures, animals and moving forms. The angular construction was influenced by low-polygon graphics from early console games, while rolling-shutter distortion informed the sense of speed and visual fracture. Yellow, red and teal define the main color language, with blue accents and the yellow orb acting as the central force within the series.

Initial thread study exploring how simple knitted strands could bend, tighten and form the geometric language behind the series.

Sketchbook studies translating the thread experiments into early geometric structures.

Visual rulebook developed from the thread experiments, defining the color system and line behavior that shaped the style of the series.
