Feathers and Scales

Bird and snake forms are used to explore tension, movement and controlled abstraction, drawing on the compositional influence of Japanese woodblock master Hokusai. The series combines graphite drawing, sharp linear structure and restrained digital colour to balance natural form with a more constructed visual language.
